Hole 13

It's hard to have a straight away par 5 be so beautiful and give the player so much fun.  Many of the Northern Michigan specimens White Pine Trees reside here at The Loon.  Lots of room within the trees but much easier from the short grass.  The fairway bunker on the right is easy to advance the ball so don't be afraid of it.  The second shot needs to stay to the right because of the 100 foot White Pine Tree that is located 80 yards out in front of the left side of the green.  There is an opening between the two bunkers that protect the right and left of the green. The green is fairly level except when the pin is in the back of the green.  Real tough position when the hole is located there.  "Don't over power your shot which is the temptation since the hole usually plays down wind."
